Happy Birthday to Me!!

I really wasn't looking forward to my birthday this year. First of all, turning half a century old didn't sound that fun (even if it's not all that different from being 24) and secondly, Didier wasn't going to be here. But on the 19th, my friends, Jess and Tally, and my brother- & sister-in-law, Michael and Martina, threw me a surprise birthday dinner. The weather was so nice and we grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and bratwursts. They brought so much salad and fruit as well. Plus Martina made me a cake, which is something I didn't get last year. It was so great! I really had an unexpectedly enjoyable birthday. Thanks so much!
